REGULATORY ACTIVITY:
- Effective December 1, 2018 the SSN/BTN numbers will be removed from the Board’s forms, ICMS II and database. You will no longer have to request a BTN to file a WC-1 or WC-14. You can file them via ICMS II or EDI. The new revision of the Board forms reflecting the removal of the SSN/BTN and any other changes will be available on the website on December 1, 2018.
- Effective January 1, 2019, the filing of a Form WC-1 will be required in all claims, including all “medical only” claims. Penalties will be assessed if parties fail to timely file a WC-1 after January 1, 2019, pursuant to the provisions of O.C.G.A. §§ 34-9-12(a), 34-9-18 and Board Rules.

- COMING IN JULY 2018! State Board of Workers’ Compensation will be granting access to our Insurers, Self-Insured Employers, Group Funds, and Claims Offices (claims adjusters) through a phased implementation starting in July 2018! Please continue to check our website for updates! Please note: No EDI vendors or EDE personnel will be permitted to access ICMS II or participate in training. Our claim files may only be viewed by parties to the claim, i.e. employer, insurer, claims office (claims adjusters), claimant, and attorneys.

REGULATORY ACTIVITY:
- Posted EDI Claim Release 3.0 Updates that becomes effective December 1, 2018. To view the notice, go to https://sbwc.georgia.gov/release-3-filing-specifications.
- Posted the following notice: The Georgia State Board of Workers’ Compensation has determined that implementation of R3.1 will require significantly more time. Therefore, the Georgia SBWC will remain on IAIABC EDI Claims Release 3.0 until an appropriate date is determined. FEE SCHEDULE NEWS:
- The state has adopted a new Medical, Hospital and Dental fee schedule with an effective date of April 1, 2018.
REGULATORY ACTIVITY:

- The WC-26, Consolidated Yearly Report of Medical Only Cases and Annual Payments on Indemnity Claims, is filed on or before March 1st following each calendar year in respect to all medical and indemnity payments for the previous year for work related injuries. File annually even if no reportable injuries or payment occurred during the reporting year.

- The state has just posted the instructions for the fee schedule that went into effect on April 1, 2017. To view the instructions as posted go to https://sbwc.georgia.gov/medical-fee-schedule. The instructions along with any attachments to the instructions went into effect April 1, 2017.

FEE SCHEDULE NEWS:
- The state has adopted changes to the physician, home care, transportation, inpatient and outpatient/ASC facility fee schedules with an effective date of April 1, 2017. The fee schedule is published by Fair Health. The fee schedule is based on the 2017 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT). The next update is scheduled for April 1, 2018.
